This week, Olivia:
- Had a visit from her grandparents! We went to pick O up from school together and when she saw them, she was so excited she started running in circles! I loved watching her interact with them – now that she’s older and so vocal, I feel like they enjoyed each other’s company even more.
- Also had a Winter Wonderland playdate/party at our house with all her friends! The girls (eight in total!) played while the grownups sipped yummy cocktails, ate hors d’oeuvres and some awesome apple pie our friend TJ made from scratch. I went a little Pinterest crazy (so rare for me) so we had cute little edible penguins, reindeer and snowmen for the girls. We even made a couple of crafts! If you’re looking for a playdate (or rainy day) activity for your little one, these were a big hit! We decorated foam princess crowns with jewels (important to get the sticker kind, its just so much easier than glue) AND also made foam picture frames for them to give as gifts. And in keeping with the theme, I found this fake Insta-Snow on Amazon – you mix it with a bit of water and it expands 100x! Sadly, it’s a pain to clean up, so we only used it to decorate the outside of the house. I would have loved to do more with it.
- Had her annual gift exchange with her bestie, Olive, who gave her a copy of Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site and this amazing Melissa & Doug Princess Dress-Up Set. Of course, once she saw the princess dress, she just HAD to put it on for her party! We gave Olive a copy of Rosie Revere, Engineer and the Minnie Mouse Stylin’ School Bowtique – both favorites around here!
- Also got this awesome LeapFrog Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar from my family, along with some dolls and the Candy Land game, which she’s clearly not quite ready for since she insists on being every piece :).
